Shared Test Tracks

A new community feed for the reference tracks audiophiles use to evaluate their gear — shareable across streaming services, playable right in the app, and tagged by what each track reveals.

Shared Test Tracks (New)
  • Share a reference track from any service — paste a link and Audiophilio resolves it across Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, and Amazon Music automatically
  • Add a “what to listen for” note, an optional timestamp, and test-attribute tags (Sub-Bass, Soundstage, Imaging, Vocals, Treble, Micro-Detail, Dynamics, and more)
  • Play in the app — a 30-second preview for everyone, or the full track for Apple Music subscribers, with scrub and skip transport controls
  • Tap any service button to hand off to your streaming app of choice; optional manual Qobuz and YouTube links too
Built for the community
  • When several people recommend the same song, their submissions group into one card that shows how many recommend it and pools everyone’s service links and test attributes
  • Filter the feed by test attribute to find a track for exactly the thing you’re evaluating
  • The Social tab now mirrors the Tools tab, with one-line descriptions for People, Rooms, Systems, Feed, and Test Tracks

Vinyl Tools, 3D Waterfall & Harmonic Profiling

Two new tools for turntable owners, an interactive 3D waterfall, REW measurement interchange, shelf EQ filters, per-harmonic distortion analysis, and full Dynamic Type support.

Turntable Setup Suite (New)
  • Tonearm geometry calculator with Baerwald (IEC), Löfgren A, and Stevenson alignment standards — enter your effective length or pick from a dozen common tonearm presets
  • Visual null-point diagram showing mounting distance, overhang, offset angle, and both null radii on a top-down record
  • Tracking-force reference by cartridge type, anti-skate guidance, and a persistent step-by-step setup checklist
Wow & Flutter Meter (New)
  • Measures turntable speed stability from a 3150 Hz test record using FFT pitch tracking
  • Reports peak and RMS deviation with a live time-domain plot and an A–F quality grade
  • Selectable reference frequency (3150 / 1000 / 400 Hz) and measurement duration
Frequency Response & PEQ
  • Import and export REW-compatible measurement files — share measurements or overlay ones taken in Room EQ Wizard
  • High- and low-shelf filter types: the PEQ now prescribes shelves automatically where they fit best, and any band can be switched between Peak/Dip, Low Shelf, and High Shelf
  • The combined EQ correction curve is now drawn directly on the response chart
Waterfall & Distortion
  • Waterfall plot adds an interactive 3D view (frequency × time × level) with a one-tap 2D/3D toggle
  • THD+N Analyzer now shows a per-frequency harmonic profile (H2–H8) as levels and percentages, so you can tell euphonic even-order distortion from harsh odd-order

Ear Trainer & Community Discovery

Train your ears to recognize frequencies by sound, find rooms sorted by acoustic grade, and a handful of improvements throughout the community features.

Ear Trainer (New)
  • New Ear Trainer tool in the Tools tab — a skill-building tool for learning to identify frequencies by ear
  • Reference mode (free) plays a pure sine tone for any of the 31 ISO 1/3-octave center frequencies from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, organized into five bands: Sub Bass, Bass, Low Mids, High Mids, and Highs
  • Quiz mode (Premium) presents randomized 3-choice frequency identification challenges; choose Easy (11 octave-band frequencies) or Medium (all 31 ISO 1/3-octave frequencies); your best score per difficulty is saved across sessions
Community — Discover
  • Acoustic grade badges (A–F) now appear on every room card in Discover, computed from speaker placement, room dimensions, and RT60 estimate
  • Measurement chips on each card show the room's RT60 estimate and Schroeder frequency so you can compare rooms before opening them
  • Sort rooms by acoustic score, most recent, or most liked
  • Search rooms by name, owner, or room type
  • Filter by room type (listening room, home theater, studio, bedroom, and more) and treatment level (none, light, moderate, heavy)
Community — Profiles
  • Location field now uses a structured picker — choose your country from the full ISO list; US users are prompted for their state; city is optional free text — keeping location data consistent across the whole community
System Diagnosis
  • Clear All button in the System Diagnosis tool resets every saved measurement result so you can start a fresh baseline after making changes to your room or system

Audiophilio now tells you what your measurements mean — ranked issues, plain-English explanations, and on-device AI interpretation for Apple Intelligence users. Plus, share your system build anywhere with one tap.

System Diagnosis
  • New System Diagnosis tool analyzes your RT60, channel balance, THD+N, ETC, polarity, and impedance measurements and ranks every issue by severity — critical, moderate, or minor
  • Each finding includes a plain-English title, a summary of what was detected, and a recommended action to fix it
  • On devices with Apple Intelligence (iOS 26+), on-device AI synthesizes your measurement data into deeper explanations and more specific recommendations — privately, without sending data anywhere
  • Coverage indicators show which measurement tools have saved results and which still need a reading, so you know when you have enough data for a meaningful diagnosis
  • Accessible directly from the top of the Tools tab
System Builder
  • Copy as Markdown — export your full component list in forum-friendly format with one tap; paste directly into any audio forum, Reddit thread, or chat
  • Share button on individual systems now opens the Community publish sheet pre-populated with that system, so you don't have to navigate to the Social tab to share
Measurement Tools
  • Active mic indicator — every measurement tool now shows the name of your active input device in the toolbar, so you always know whether you're measuring with your UMIK-1 or the built-in microphone

Purchase Tracking & Diagram Zoom

Track what you paid for every component and cable, see your system's total value at a glance, and zoom the signal chain diagram to fit any screen.

System Builder
  • Purchase price and "Purchased From" fields added to interconnects and cables — track what you spent on every wire, not just components
  • "Purchase Year" label clarified (was just "Purchased") so the field's purpose is unambiguous
  • "Purchased From" field added to audio components (retailer, marketplace, or private seller)

Bug Fix

Bug Fixes

Fixes
  • ETC chart: axis labels were too small to read — increased from 8 pt to 11 pt and chart height expanded for better legibility
  • Noise Generator: audio would stop playing when navigating away from the Tools tab and returning — generator now resumes automatically on reappear
  • Delay Finder: improved accuracy guidance — help text now includes Zero calibration steps, and the consecutive-sample agreement threshold was raised to reduce false readings
  • Share button: showed as grey and bounced without explanation when no Community profile existed — now presents a clear error message prompting you to create a profile first
